Dror Rubin is an experienced mediator and dialogue facilitator who leads and manages projects aimed at building trust and cooperation between Jews and Arabs.
Dror worked for 8 years, until 2024, as the chief dialogue facilitator and field coordinator of an initiative, funded by the British Foreign Office, on behalf of Search for Common Ground, the world’s largest peacebuilding organisation, to find common ground among Jewish and Muslim religious leaders and their communities in Israel, Additionally, Dror leads programmes on shared values between religions in educational and community settings within mixed Arab-Jewish cities across Israel.
For the past two years, Dror has been leading, on behalf of the University of Haifa, the establishment of municipal forums for religious leaders to increase their cooperation and responsibility in preventing the escalation of violence in mixed cities.
Together with a female Muslim leader and peace activist, Ghadir Hani, Dror manages the ‘Women Envision Hope’programme, which works to empower women to lead social change in Jewish and Arab populations. Dror and Ghadir have recently been awarded two international prizes for their collaborative efforts: the 2024 IIE Victor J. Goldberg Prize for Peace in the Middle East; and the 2025 Luxembourg Peace Prize, the latter following the publication of their jointly conceived and edited book: ‘Women Write Hope – Life Stories of Jewish and Arab Women Waging Peace amidst War’.
A native of Jerusalem but now residing in Tel-Aviv, Dror holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Management and Resolution. He is married and the father of two sons.
