Prof. Ido Shahar is a legal anthropologist and social historian specializing in studying Islamic law, primarily in studying Sharia courts.

His areas of interest include Sharia law, legal pluralism, medieval and modern Egypt, and the Arab-Palestinian minority in Israel. I conducted research and published articles and books on these topics.
