Her research focusses on the entrepreneurship experience of Israeli-Jews who develop tourism initiatives in the Galilee region. Karen obtained a BSc in Industrial Management Engineering, followed by an MBA, both from the Technion.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">After a meaningful career in the hi-tech industry (in Israel and the US) Karen made a career transition to tourism. She was certified as a tour guide, specializing in Christian tourism and wrote her thesis in the Department of Israel Studies at the University of Haifa, on initiatives of contemporary pilgrimage-tourism hiking trails in the Galilee region.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Karen is a lecturer at the Department of Tourism &amp; Leisure Management at Ben-Gurion University. In addition, Karen serves as the research students\u2019 representative on the Board of Directors of the Israeli Association for the Study of Religions.\u00a0Her first publication\u00a0(Kidron &amp; Levisohn, 2022) came out at the\u00a0<em>British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"editors-links\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<footer id=\"main-footer\" class=\"main-footer\">\n<div class=\"footer-top\">\n<div class=\"container-my\">\n<div class=\"footer-top_inner\">\n<div class=\"right-logo\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/footer>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"about\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Karen Levisohn Karen Levisohn, a fellow of the &#8220;Intertwined Worlds&#8221; program.
