Rabbi Dr. Yosef Slotnik

Married to Esther and proud father of five children.
Yosef is a seasoned teacher of Talmud and Jewish Halacha who has been
researching the various scholarly languages that have shaped the world of
Talmud for many years.

In recent years, he examined non-Jewish
influences on the design of the Halachic language, emphasizing the
influence of Christianity, in general, and Syriac Christianity, in particular,
on the world of the Tanaim and Amoraim.

He conducts his current research as a PhD student in the Department of Religions at the Hebrew
University.
