The annual summer school seeks to harness academic expertise and religious ideals for the sake of promoting understanding among communities of diverse backgrounds.
This first of its kind joint endeavor of the Universities of Haifa and Regensburg will bring together a group of 30 teaching-certificate students from both universities for a week-long intensive series of courses, encounters, and excursions within and around Haifa.
The city of Haifa is known for its rich variety of religious communities, including Jews of all stripes, Christians of seven different denominations, Muslims, Druze, and Baha’is, making it the perfect location for students to explore and learn about different faiths and the manner in which their adherents live side by side.
