The Interfaith Ambassadors Program:

M.A. Studies Program in Collaboration with the Rossing Center for Education and Dialogue

Open annually to 10 selected individuals from Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Druze backgrounds, the program, hosted by the University of Haifa, leverages academic resources and Haifa’s culturally-diverse and multi-faith environment. It offers a comprehensive curriculum and practical experiences, including non-credit hours dedicated to interfaith dialogue.

The curriculum encompasses a wide spectrum of religious studies courses available at the University of Haifa. Additionally, tailored weekly sessions cater to the unique needs of program participants.

The coursework begins in the initial semester with a focus on understanding Israel’s religious communities, providing essential knowledge for newcomers to religious studies.

The subsequent semester delves deeper into the intricate dynamics of interfaith relationships, granting students a profound insight into religious interactions. The final semester emphasizes the development and support of social initiatives within religious communities. Equipped with practical skills, participants embark on a final project aimed at initiating innovative social changes within and beyond their communities

Upon program completion, graduates earn a master’s degree from the University of Haifa and a certification in interfaith dialogue, signifying their readiness to lead in the realm of interfaith engagement.

Graduates also receive ongoing support to nurture personal projects, facilitated by a dedicated field coordinator. This post-graduation assistance includes forming a graduate cohort, fostering a collaborative network among alumni to sustain the momentum and support ongoing endeavors, and regular group meetings, seminars, and workshops.
